DESCRIPTION:This Coffee Connection session focuses on how families experience and navigate grief together. This introductory training will explore how different family members may grieve in different ways\, how grief can impact communication and family dynamics\, and practical strategies for fostering connection\, understanding\, and support at home. Whether you’re a parent\, caregiver\, or community member supporting a grieving family\, this session will help you feel more confident and equipped to create space for healthy conversations and shared healing. Coffee and breakfast pastries will be provided. Individuals with dietary restrictions or food allergies are encouraged to bring their own items. \nParticipants will learn to: \n\n\nDefine grief and loss within the context of family systems \n\n\nExplore how grief may look different across ages\, roles\, and relationships \n\n\nRecognize common communication challenges grieving families face \n\n\nSupport healthy\, age-appropriate conversations about loss \n\n\nDispel myths about “protecting” family members from grief \n\n\nUnderstand cultural and generational factors that shape communication \n\n\nIdentify when a family may need additional support or guidance \n\n\nExplore strategies for strengthening connection\, coping\, and mutual support within the family \n\n\nClick here to register. \nTraining will take place in Suite 160.
