Workshops and Seminars
New Hope Center for Grief Support grief workshops and seminars give you a safe place to express your grief, connect with others experiencing a similar loss, and begin the healing process. There is no charge for our programs, but registration is required to ensure each griever is placed into the appropriate group.
“From Grief to New Hope” 8-Week Workshop
The “From Grief to New Hope” 8-Week Workshop combines the educational components of a seminar with the safety and support of a peer group. This workshop is available in-person and virtually to adults who are grieving the death of a loved one regardless of how long it has been since the loss occurred. This workshop is a safe place to express your grief and begin the healing process. Each session includes a speaker presentation for all and smaller group discussion time. These small groups are guided by facilitators who have also experienced similar loss and have traveled their own grief journey. This workshop is offered in-person and virtually. Â
Support people are welcome to listen to the weekly workshop speakers, but unfortunately, they are unable to participate in small groups. Support people must check in with staff upon arrival to complete registration.
Please note the registration deadlines for each session. Pre-registration is required, and walk-ins are not available. To support group connection and continuity, participants who do not attend Week 1 or Week 2 will be withdrawn from the session and welcomed to enroll in a future workshop.
